SUMMER SCHOOL AT ORANIM

Are you concerned about the content of the discourse about Israel on campus?

Are you worried that not all voices are heard?

If so, Oranim College of Education, Students Supporting Israel and Stand With Us invite you to come to Israel for our summer Study Abroad program and learn how to create change on your campus. The program will take place from June 30 to July 28, 2019.

Gain inside knowledge of the nuances and reality of Israel’s multi-cultural society, meet the grass-roots and national leaders who help to build it, and consider the successes, challenges and creative solutions that inform the present and the future. Acquire the knowledge and tools to change the anti-Israel discourse and to combat BDS on campus. And best of all, earn academic credit through classroom courses, field study, educational tours, Hebrew conversation lessons, Krav Maga and emergency medical training. Please join us. YOU WILL COME TO THE LAND OF THE JEW, THE CHRISTIAN, AND the Muslim; the land of Israel.

You will be taught to:

1: Defend yourself.

2. To know the history of our fore- fathers and mothers.

3. To find answers to current problems and distortions that have arisen around Israel.

4. Meet the Israeli people: Jewish, Christian and Muslim.

5. Become a leader in your own community.

YOU WILL learn  the above IN AN INTENSIVE 3-WEEKS.  Additionally, you also see on your free week-ends,  the ancient and modern areas of Israel; including the Jewish, Christian and Muslim.

COME AND LEARN WITH US. IT WILL BE THE MOST PROFOUND AND INTENSE LEARNING EXPERIENCE OF YOUR LIFE.  You will have learn the answers for yourself  as well as for those who question you.

“THE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL” OF  ORANIM, IN TIVON, ISRAEL has designed a program of two Courses, in order to activate a positive response to the negative rhetoric that is been experienced on college campuses.  You will get College credit for the courses you take.

THE SUBJECTS THAT WILL BE TAUGHT ARE:

*Krav Maga-  (A form of defense and physical training first developed by the Israeli army in the 1940’s based on the use of reflexive response to threatening situations -sourced from Aikido, Judo, Boxing, and wrestling, along with realistic fight-training).

Basic Emergency Training- which you can use to save the  lives of those in your community, including members of your  family, your friends  and strangers, becoming a true guardian of your community.
 *learn Hebrew

*Lectures on Leadership as well History of ancient Israel and current understandings of where Israel is  politically.

* Field studies :  students will go  on weekend touring in the ancient and modern sites 

*THERE ARE TWO ACADEMIC COURSES for which You will receive 32 Academic hours credit .

Weekends  free to tour for yourself.

The Price per participant is $4,100 (limited spaces at subsidized price: $1,000) + approximately $1,500 for Round-trip airfare on El-Al.
